I knew Beth from our days at Union College together in Barbourville, Ky., back in the 70s. We became friends and kept in touch off and on over the years. We had just reconnected about two years ago after a long absence. I have such fond memories of those early times in our careers when we were just starting, young and eager to make a contribution to our respective disciplines. Beth was very talented (and I have several of her pieces). I only wish the distance was not so great so we could have had more contact. I am saddened by this news. Sympathy goes to her children.

Elizabeth was a beloved member of the Northwest Collage Society. We all benefited from her talent, friendship and generosity of spirit. We were inspired by her determination and resolve in dealing with her illness while always keeping a positive outlook. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
