Gregory Gilbertson Obituary
Age 64, 6/26/1947 Seattle WA-5/29/2012 David, Chiriqui Province, Panama. Born to Norman and Fern Gilbertson. Attended Ridgecrest Baptist and Shoreline schools. He was a Vietnam army veteran, local mailman, had a cleaning business, and built homes. Lee passed away on their farm from cancer. Service was in Bugaba Panama. Preceded in death by parents and younger brother Brian. Leaves wife Robin (McCracken), daughter Michelle (Steve) Smith, son Jim; granddaughter Molly (Sam Blair), great-grandson Gabriel Lee; brother Norman (Jerry), sister Karen. Here on earth death is painful, but in Heaven it is a joyful birth into the arms of our Lord!!!

even with years of separation & thousands of miles between us it was still hard to know that Lee had passed on to his next journey. I know that he is in a better place, one that I hope to see him in many years from now. I'm grateful that I had a chance to know Lee & will remember him for the rest of my life.

Eight hours before Lee died he was making sure that his great grandson, Gabriel would have a comfortable place to sleep and that he would have plenty of water to drink, upon his arrival. I assured him that we had a crib and he would not be thirsty.
Lee tried hard to live to see the child but he could not.
He fought a hard and long fight against cancer. He died with dignity in his own bed, he marched into death knowing the Son of our Father was with him.
