Keith Kellogg Obituary

Keith Kellogg

Keith Kellogg passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2015, in Bothell, WA. Being the ultimate man of organization, we fully expected to find this date scheduled in his day planner! Born in Seattle, WA, to Robert and Helen Kellogg, he graduated from Shoreline High School and attended the University of Washington. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cheryl Barr Kellogg; son, Shane Kellogg; son, Brady Kellogg (Nancy); Mike Hoban (Ying Chen); Suzi Hoban-Axe (Casey); grandchildren, Demitri Kellogg, age 15; Kira Hoban, age 7; and Finn Axe, age 5. He is also survived by sister, Julie Smith; and brother, Kevin Kellogg (Anna); brother's-in-law Gary Barr & Mike Butler; & sister-in-law Gail Riccetti.

Keith was a natural salesman and spent the majority of his career in medical sales. He retired in early 2009 from Mizuho OSI, Inc., where he sold specialty operating room equipment to hospitals throughout the Northwest. He enjoyed the educational aspect of the job and found it most rewarding when he got to be involved in the introduction of a specialty table which facilitated a new minimally invasive total hip procedure.

Keith was a voracious reader, loved music, and followed all sports. His avocation was golf and he spent many a day on a variety of golf courses around the Pacific Northwest along with many other locations while vacationing. One of his favorite sayings was, "I only golf on days that end in Y!" There were a few years where he managed to get in 100 rounds of golf.

Keith was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer in May of 2013. He responded better than 80% of patients with this diagnosis and for the first 15 months did everything as usual including golfing 1 - 2 times a week.

Keith was a good man who loved his family dearly. He'll be remembered for his humor & quick wit which never waned.

The family would like to thank Dr. Matthew Lonergan and the entire SCCA team at Evergreen Hospital. Special thanks to Lamin Fofana with Fedelta Care Solutions for the wonderful bond he forged with Keith.

Life is short. Spend time with your friends and family. Do an unexpected kindness for someone. Appreciate every moment!
