Olive Hughes Obituary

Olive Hughes

Olive Georgina Ann Hughes passed away on Monday, June 9th 2014 at the age of 80.

Olive was born in Seattle on January 2, 1934 and is survived by her husband Frank and children, Howard (Donna) Hughes, Jeff (Jackie) Hughes, Traci (Bobby) Phillips: grandchildren Sara, Lacy, Bryan, Justin, Tori & Billy, and great-grandchildren, Landon & Jennedy. Her brothers and sisters, Pat Notson, Bill Wattum, Ben Wattum and Karen Jaeger.

A graduate of the Cleveland High class of 1952, Olive met Frank and married on October 2nd 1953 in Seattle, Washington where they have resided for over 63 years together. Olive's greatest love was family and being with friends, spending time with her grandchildren, working in her garden, bird watching, going to casinos, and walking the beach collecting beach glass. She will be greatly missed - her support and love of family, her warm smile and that perfect way of knowing the right gifts.

The family will have a Celebration of Olive's Life on Wednesday, June 18th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at their residence.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations can be made in her name to the National Diabetes Foundation.

For those not able to attend the The Celebration of Life a guestbook is available for signing at the ACACIA Memorial Park website: acaciafuneralhome.com
