We in Scotland send our prayers and condolences to the family of Elmer Anderson. I had the greatest pleasure in meeting Elmer and Irene when they came to Scotland to visit. Elmer was a man that made everyone feel at ease in his company which all the family and friends he met in Scotland were delighted with him and Irene being here. My family sends our heartfelt condolences. I grew up hearing Elmer Anderson’s name fondly referenced at the dinner table on many occasions. Elmer was so supportive of my dad, Dave Beck, over the years at Peoples Bank. My dad thought the world of him. Dave passed away five years ago and Elmer was so kind to attend his funeral service. I find comfort in knowing that they’ll be able to share stories about the bank once again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We send our sympathy and prayers in the loss of Elmer. Elmer meant many many things to his employees, his assocates, and his collegues. He was a man of incredible wisdom and shared his great sense of humor as he guided and mentored countless men & women both inside and outside the world of banking. Elmer will be missed by many and may he now rest in eternal peace knowing he lived a good and meaningful life.

My first meeting of Elmer was in Seattle when Jim received the Credit Union Executive of The Year Award for the State of Washington. Throughout the evening it was obvious how proud he was of Jim and what Jim had accomplished. While Jim dedicated his award to Elmer it was obvious that there was a tremendous amount of love shared between the Grandfather and Grandson. I am very sorry for your loss.

To the Anderson family, my condolences for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Elmer at PeoplesBank from 1968 to his retirement and saw him many times after that. He was an outstanding leader in our company and in the industry. By today's standards he was "a player's coach." Elmer helped mentor countless people to positions of leadership and responsibility. He was a man of humility, great humor and integrity. While I haven't seen him in a few years I was just this week thinking of him and how nice it would be to see him at the next reunion. Elmer will be missed by many. It was a real pleasure to have known him. I regret I will be out of town and miss his memorial on the 8th, but I'll be thinking of him. Best to all.

Your grandfather was a very special person, Jim, and you, your mom and the rest of your family are the proof of that. May he and your grandmother rest in peace together. Bruce and I wish your entire family the best during this time and happy memories of the times you all shared together.
