Barbara Scott DEMAREST Died April 26, 2011 after a long illness. Born Dec. 15, 1930 in San Francis co, CA, she grew up in Marin County and later attended school in New York City, before return ing home. With her husband and two sons, Barbara moved to Washington State in 1960. In 1962 Barbara and her two sons relocat ed to Seattle where she worked, ultimately developing a success ful career in real estate sales and investing in rental properties. As a Seattle resident, she was active ly involved in the University Unitarian Church, various singles' organizations, and she enjoyed many social activities with friends. Later years included travel, homes in Arizona, Woodinville, and eventually Monroe, where she was an active member of the East County Senior Center. An avid traveler, Barbara lived in Europe for two years with her young sons, enjoyed many trips to Mexico and Hawaii, and many ex cursions in her motorhome. Barbara is survived by her son David Demarest and his wife Sally of Monroe; son Steve Demarest, his wife Debbie and her three grandchildren: Katie, Brian, and William; all of Leavenworth. At her request, no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
