Francis Jackman Obituary

Francis Rooke JACKMAN June 15, 1928 ~ February 28, 2011 Frank was born in Chilliwack, B.C. to Percy and Edythe Jackman. He attended Chilliwack High School and later went on to college at Seattle University. Frank married Ann Jacobson on July 3, 1954 in Seattle where he also worked for Farmers Insurance Group for thirty years. Frank's interests included Spanish, jazz, hockey, soccer, travel (Mexico), gardening, remodeling projects, drumming for the Kenmore Pipe Band and last but not least his love for his family and friends. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Ann; children, Teresa (Peter), Renee (Matt) and Roger (Marissa); grandchildren, Molly, Frank and Christopher; and his brothers, Reid, Ray and Peter. A memorial service for Frank will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 10:30am at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Chapel, 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood, WA. Ann and family - I heard last night that Frank had died on Sunday. I have countless fond memories of Frank during his days with the Keith band. He was a wonderful comrade who will be missed by many. My condolences to all.
