We are sorry to hear you lost your dearest mother. Our heartfelt love and sympathy goes out to you. She was a very dear, sweet lady and we were proud to call her our 'sister'. We loved her so much and always will.

This Morning I came across a photo envelope in Florence's handwriting that said, " Happy Hooker's Dinner 6/10/91" Inside were pictures of Florence and Jeanne (my mother) and Florence and Mary Ann Morency taken at the Discovery Bay Oyster House. On the back Florence had written that it was the "final" Happy Hooker's Dinner. I hope that wasn't true. Anyway, the photographs are both nice to share.

"Things Florence": Her special perfect handwriting - you knew it would be a Good Day when you spotted a card from Florence in your mailbox! Her knack for speaking "with" you, regardless of your age, you knew that you mattered in her life. Her always pert & attractive hair-do & make-up--she was ready-to-go. Her enthusiasm & knowledge of Seattle sports - "Oh, those Mariners" and "those darn Huskies". I pray that Florence is somewhere heavenly with a big piece of warm homemade pie and rich vanilla ice cream (this was an inside joke for us). We miss you Florence! With my sympathy and love to the extended Kerr Family and to all the remaining cousins, friends and Care-givers.

To Gary and Family.. Your mom was a very special lady and always had a smile on her face..Remembering back to Monroe road and News Years we spent together warms my heart. I can only think about the party now with my mom and dad and your mom together laughing and telling stories.. May the days ahead be filled with wonderful memories of a lady who will be missed.

Florence will always have a special place in our hearts. Her hand written notes on the Christmas cards meant the world to us because she was someone special; considerate and loving with that extra sparkle in her eye. We will look for her star when the nights are clear and the heavens are bright.
