The one outstanding thing I will remember about Chuck is that he was your friend. It didn't matter if he just met you, he was already a friend. There is an easiness about him that broke through all barriers. Also, when we meet up with a friend or aquaintance we always ask "How are you?" Rarely do we actually want to hear exactly how a person is. Chuck actually cared about each of his friends so if he asked, he meant it. He wanted to know how you were. The man took nothing for granted and he possessed integrity. When it came time to sell my boat I didn't want to sell it to just anyone. Honestly, I set the price so low that Chuck had to buy it! I could have asked more but I wanted Chuck to do his magic to it. He did not disappoint. That boat looks amazing. We were supposed to go out in that boat this spring. I miss my friend Chuck.

Chuck was my good friend and I will miss him. We shared MANY good times and wonderful adventures. Whenever he was around he would bring out the best in people. He will live on in my and my family's memories.
I am so very sorry for your loss, and I pray that you will be comforted, just as I am knowing that we will certainly see each other again.
God bless you and your family Chuck.

I met Chuck before I was 5 years old, his youngest son Peter was one of my very first friends and best friends at that.
I'll always remember Chuck being a warm and kind man who was always quick with a joke or a quip.
Quite frankly, Chuck was the first father of a childhood friend that was funny and friendly to all of his sons friends. I'll never forget, any time I visited the Carey household or called Peter on the phone and Chuck saw me, he'd always ask me, "Well, who are you?". This went on literally every time I saw Chuck, even through adult hood.
I spent a lot of time at the Carey household and here are just a few of my memories about the Carey's (in no particular order).
Chuck seemed to always have a car or boat that he was remodeling in the driveway. The first I remember was a 39 Ford (I believe).
Mr. Charles Carey was the first person I ever knew to own an Apple product. How impressive was that? Chuck was in on apple 22 years before any of my tech savvy friends.
The Carey were the first family I remember to have a personalized license plate on their vehicles. I think I remember all of them. Carey I, Carey II, Carey III, Carey IV, and Carey V. You may not find that impressive, but I also remember their motor home "ONRWAY"
The world is a little less brighter place now that Chuck has passed, But it is brighter knowing the positive impact that he had on other's lives and that impact will carry on through future generations.
