JoAnn Fletcher Obituary
JoAnn Darlene Fletcher, 78, passed away, July 19, 2013, at the Hospice House of Mercy, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she received compassionate care. Memorial Service: July 25 at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Memorial Service: Friday, August 9, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, Shoreline, Washington. Survivors include three children, Kim (Greg) Martin of Fairfax, IA, Curt (Karen) Fletcher of Seattle, WA, and Jeff (Barb) Fletcher, Redwood City, California, eight grandchildren, and three sisters, Bobbi Arnett, Yakima, Patty (Jerry) Thomas of West Richland, and Marilyn (Armand) Ahrendt of Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, and eight siblings. JoAnn was born July 10, 1935 in Yakima, WA. She loved her family and friends beyond measure and lived life to the fullest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy, 315 18th Ave, Hiawatha, IA 52233 or First Lutheran Church, 1000 Third Avenue, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.

I am watching her You Tube videos and I do so like them. Would so much like to return to Egypt to see more. She tells such good stories with such good videos. I am so fortunate to have found them.

In addition to how much fun and thoughtful she was… she made the best tuna sandwich I have ever had. She made them for me when I was a child and remembered I liked them so much she would bring me one when she visited the south end!
