I will miss my brother, but have so many good memories of our growing up that I can draw on when it gets tough. He is sandwiched in between 2 sisters who love him so much. He cared for his family & friends & will be missed. Colene,we are keeping you Rick & Kim in our prayers. Shearman loved him like a brother & will miss him.

Dear Colene and family: I am so sorry for your loss. I know I shall miss him terribly. He was always so nice to me, always gave me a big hug when I came to visit. If there is anything I can do for you or your family, just ask. I loved his big smile, big heart and he did in fact love his family. He shall be greatly missed. You are in my prayers.

Dear Aunt Colene, Rick, and Kimberly, I was sorry to hear about Uncle Al. I think the last time I worked in Portland Oregon about 10 years ago, I made the drive up to Kent and visited with Uncle Al, Aunt Colene, and Kim. There is a photo of him on our refrigerator taken with Aunt Charlotte and Mom. Keeping you all in our prayers, Dale, Belinda, Jo Beth, Sarah Dale, and Ella Rose.

Dear Aunt Colene, Rick and Kimberly, My thoughts are with you all. I want to say that the obituary sure discribed the Uncle Al I remember. He was always so caring. I enjoyed writing emails to him and the best part was knowing neither of us could spell. I may have typed faster but it didn't mean my words were spelled right. I felt he always understood the things we talked about in the serious conversations. I am sorry I could not be there with you all. I know how tough those times can be. My thoughts and prayers were with you at all times and still are. I was so glad when he came home the other summer and Emerson was able to meet him. It tickled me the way he loved sports and the fact that Emerson did too. I wanted him to be proud of Emerson, that meant alot to me. Keeping you in my heart and prayers. Jeanett & Family

Dear Colene and family; I am praying for your peace and comfort knowing that Al is in a good place.
Can you imagine the stories that he and Bob are telling each other?
I think of you often and hope we can see each other sometime. I am here in Spokane without a car and walking with a walker, so am slow to get around.
I pray that God gives you much comfort. Call me any time, day or night. Your friend, Janet

My Uncle Al made a difference in my life. He gave comfortable hugs that surrounded me, was not afraid to tell me he loved me, freely laughed with me, shared stories about his life and always made me feel welcome when I came to visit. He valued my experience and was not afraid to ask my advice. He always treated me with respect. His quiet, unselfish nature and caring concern for others have been an example to me. Even when seriously ill in the hospital, his first thoughts and questions to me were regarding the welfare of others, sometimes that concern bringing him to tears of love and hope for their speedy recovery. I will greatly miss our frequent conversations and the opportunity to share our love for each other. I will never forget him. I wish everyone could have an Uncle Al like mine.
