We were so sorry to hear of Arne's passing...we have known him from the general Fremont community for decades. I will always remember his kindness to those less fortunate, in particular to Cliff (whom he allowed to live in--and haphazardly tear down--an old house he owned) and Baz, who parked his motorhome on Arne's property for years, giving him a home community. We are sorry to have missed his memorial, and we send our condolences to his family. John & Leslie Hoge

Arne was President of the Phi Kap house the year I pledged. I only saw him a very happy or very sad situations, and a couple times at golf games, but he was a classy guy, the kind of person anybody was always happy to run into. Hope his family, none of whom I have met more than once or twice, if that, is holding up well.

My Uncle, Ed Stephens, was married to Letha so I met Arne once. I also remember him from Ballard where I graduated in 1957. I always heard nice things about Arne and Barbara from Letha when we visited her in her last days. I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. May God's blessing bring you all peace and comfort.

Arne will always have a special place in my heart. He was a wonderful man to work with and I adored his golf stories and family stories. May you, his family, be comforted in knowing that he will create a home for you in heaven where you will most assuredly be held by him once again. God Bless you all.
