I will always remember you, Uncle Art, as a loving and devoted man. When I was young, I remember how loved I felt when I was around you. The smell of your favorite leather chair, and the musk of your pipe. You would always smile a welcome smile us we leaped onto your lap. Telling us stories and making us laugh. As I got to know you years later, I was so impressed with your knowledge and kindness. When my mother, your sister Yvonne died, I couldn't afford to fly home for her funeral. You lent me the money saying, "If I can't be there for my little sister's funeral, I want you to be there". I'll never forget your generosity. When I paid you back the last $100 I owed you, you said I thought we were even. And you could make Yvonne laugh!! She would giggle such a happy sound when you would call our house with one of your funny stories. God Bless you Uncle Art! You were a very special person.
