Doris Dyson

Doris DYSON April 5 1929 ~ February 12 2011 Doris Dyson was the life of every party. To her, life WAS a party from the day it started on April 5th, 1929. Famous for her song and dance, from breakdancing to line dancing, she was forever young at heart. Doris graduated from The University of Washington Business School at a time when the field was still dominated by men, being one of just three women in her graduating class. She went on to a long and successful career as an independent Certified Public Accountant and businesswoman, even doing accounting work for the 1962 World's Fair! President of the Seattle chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA), Doris was popular and easily made friends with people from all walks of life. She was a lifelong supporter of Husky Football, The Seattle Mariners, and The Super Sonics....and a fair weather Seahawks fan. Doris enjoyed traveling around the country and the world meeting new people and seeing new places. She is survived by her two loving sons and daughter-in-law, her two beautiful granddaughters, and Edward. Doris supported her children and grandchildren in every endeavor from music to business, from sports to graffiti, and she will continue to be an inspiration to all of us. We will always remember the parties, dinners, musicals, and super bowls. A memorial party for Doris will be held on Sunday the 20th of February. Please contact Art Primo: (206)365-4083 for details.
