May the stars carry your sadness away,
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty,
May hope forever wipe away your tears,
And, above all, may silence make you strong.

Chief Dan George

Like the grasses showing tender faces to each other,
thus should we do,
for this was the wish of the Grandfathers of the World.

As if it were today, I will always remember Uncle Jerry for enthusiasm and the great detail, in the story, of the day his father came home and called all the boys to slaughter the pigs, before the coming virus wiped them out. He told how the Caturia's family, neighbors and friends all ate well that winter. He said they always ate well; they grew a big garden. His stories gave me great memories of the Caturia Family. He will live on in a beautiful vivid story that will remain a vision of life on my Grandparent’s farm. I will carry this warm feeling for my life.
God Bless and thank you for my Great Uncle Jerry
