John Evans Obituary

John E. EVANS March 18, 1917 ~ May 21, 2011 Dad was a beloved father, grand-father, husband, and friend. He was born in Saskatoon Canada coming to Seattle at age three, graduating from Franklin HS. He worked for the Post Office for over 30 years and served in WWII in the Navy. He loved time with his family, woodworking, traveling, Alki Beach, current events, and campaigning for local democratic politics. Survived by daughters Lee of St. Petersburg, FL and Jo (Art Freeman) of Seattle; grandchildren Katie and Giancarlo DiSalvo, and Arthur Freeman; and special friend Chris Holm. Preceded in death by beloved wife Marjorie and brother David, who fell at the Battle of the Bulge.
