Lindsey Marie ORSER March 25, 1984 ~ March 21, 2011 Lindsey Marie Orser left us unexpectedly on March 21, 2011; she was to celebrate her 27th birthday on March 25th. She was a beautiful young woman who would light up a room with her presence, personality and smile. Throughout her short life, she touched many people's lives, was compassionate for and loved others unconditionally. Lindsey was a friend to all. Lindsey was born in Kirkland, WA. Throughout her childhood she kept her family entertained with her energy, joy and comical feats. These stories she created will live on in our hearts forever. She graduated from Juanita High School (2002) where she was involved in band, choir, volleyball and many other school activities. Lindsey attended Linfield College graduating in 2006 with a degree in Education and a minor in German. She was a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. Beyond school, Lindsey was always very involved in her church and her faith growth. Lindsey began her teaching career in Glendale, Arizona. Two years later she chose to move "home" to Kirkland, closer to family, to continue her passion of teaching and working with kids. She taught at Norman Rockwell Elementary (Redmond) and most recently worked at Arrowhead Elementary (Kenmore). She loved to travel and create through her cooking, musical talents and artistic skills. I first met sweet Lindsey when she was a little muffin, barely in school. She was a spunky, creative and kind little girl. It was obvious she would be lighting up life with the soul behind that smile, bringing happiness to so many.

I treasure the year I worked with Lindsey as a teaching colleague. Her warmth and humor brought out the best in students and staff. Her compassion and love of teaching touched so many lives in the short time she was with us. She made the world a better place, a magnificent legacy for such a young woman.

Karen, what a lovely angel you raised. I'm so sorry that you and all of your family are dealing with such heartbreaking loss. Lindsey will be dearly remembered forever by all of us who were fortunate to know her. She blessed our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

There is nothing greater a father can ever wish for than to have loyal, kind and loving friends for his children. Lindsey was a great friend and support to my daughter Camilla, and brought an incredible amount of joy and happiness to her, and to our entire family. Her love and caring will be missed. My prayers are with Lindsey's family and friends. Dave Kuhns, Camilla's Dad, Kirkland, WA

This beautiful woman who has gone onto the new wonders of the sky
As you look up to the heavens with a smile, and try not to cry.

You will see her in the oceans as the waves rush up to the shore
You will see her in the sunsets and the colors will radiate even more.

And as you go on and live your life to honor her, in your very best way
She will be there with you, her smiles, her love, her laughter every single day.

I had the pleasure of knowing Lindsey for a short time, and in that brief time I experienced her radiant inner beauty, her love for life, and her compassion. Even though we lived hundreds of miles apart, she took the time to call me regularly to check up on me and to truly care about me as her cousin. I hope and pray for peace for her parents and siblings, and the rest of her family.
