Martha Jarvimaki Obituary

Martha Louise JARVIMAKI Martha Louise Jarvimaki, 79, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 13, 2011, after a short illness. Martha was born March 9, 1934, in Rogers, Arkansas to Callie and Russell Seamster. She is survivedby two sons Wayne (Taunna) and Mark (Bridget) and three grandsons, Austin, Garrett and Gary, allof Seattle, Washington. Martha graduated in 1952 from West Seattle High School. Her family was her life and she was foremost a housewife, but also worked for State Farm Insurance, import/export company George Bush and Bank of America. Her family shared that she had a giving heart, a ready smile and an infectious laugh. Her children and family were her life. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and sewing crafts. She was a member of West Seattle's First Lutheran Church, where a memorial will be held Saturday, March 26 at 10:00a.m. A reception will take place after the service. Bonney Watson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church.

My fondest memory of my cousin was watching TV with her in her basement when my family visited her during the Seattle Worlds Fair. We will miss her "being there" in our lives.
