I lost contact with Murl after High School with both of us going different ways in our careers. I feel lucky to have spent those few years around Murl. He was a class act and had many talents. He installed a complete new engine in my car in his parents back yard. His best attribute was his character and since of humor. I had many good times with him and he was always a pleasure to be around. His family, friends, and neighbors through his life were the lucky ones to be around this great man. You will be missed my friend.

It's fitting that Bill Craddock's entry was the first, as he and Murl are inextricably linked in my memories of Murl in high school. Murl's gentleness and sense of humor never failed to put a smile in my heart when we met in the hallways, and the world is a bit smaller for his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

My friend Murl......lover of good times, good friends and life. Fifty years ago, we laughed, schemed and dreamed. My greatest memories of Murl were of his good nature, his wonderful family and his friendship. Still to this day I remember his powerful soul, his sense of humor and his strong spirit....I miss him and will never forget him!

Jolene, Murl's daughters, his siblings and other relatives: Murl was one of my greatest friends. The years at Richland (WA) High School and Junior High were the best times of my life because of the friendship Murl and I shared. I know that Jolene and all the others I've mentioned will grieve and mourn his loss as I will. May the good Lord bless you all. I will miss him tremendously.
