Dear Dave, Tom and the rest of the Sonn Family,
My wife and I were both friends with Nancy at Kennedy and like her a part of the first graduating class in 1970. Nancy and her fellow music enthusiast Peggy Halvorson were always smiling, singing and creating music for our listening pleasure. Often the two were found just sitting in the courtyard happily strumming a tune and being joyful. Nancy was a very sweet and kind person whose love of life and people was uplifiting and inspirational. She understood the gift of life, love and friendship and shared it well with others through her action and gentle words. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during such a hard time for your family. A special thanks to you Tom and Dave for being positive influences in our lives. Love Jim and Coleen De Donato.

I first met Nancy when we were young teenagers here at the beach in Moclips. Our common love of the ocean, music, guitars, humor and of course, Peg, has made her a person I have always looked forward to seeing and visiting with over the years. We have sang, cried, laughed and partied for years and years. I am hearing her sing and laugh every day in her deep, rich alto voice.
Meow is now here with Jim and I at the beach and doing fine, so no need to worry about him.
You were one special lady Nanc. I will miss you always.

I met Nancy in high school and we have been friends ever since. We shared many adventures: camping in the Frazier River Valley, driving to L.A.(in an old Dodge with very bad brakes we found out later), numerous trips to the coast, singing and playing guitar together, sharing bad puns and laughing hysterically. She sang at my wedding. I will miss her wit, intelligence and extremely funny sense of humor. We'll take good care of Mr. D for you Nancy. Miss you!

Nancy and I met at VMC when she was fresh out of nursing school. Her humor and positive attitude were the magnet and glue that cemented our friendship. She always made me think deeper and stretch myself a little further. I loved to listen to her play her guitar, and we spent many happy times down at Lincoln Park and at the Spud for lunch, talking and laughing all the way.
She was a dear person and I will miss her always.
