An old friend from Bayville, NY. Pat was broken down on the side of the road, an old VW Bug. I stopped, and helped her get going. Became good friends that summer. She went West in the Fall and never heard from her again. She is in my prayers. Mark Lanctot

Your Dad and I are reading a wonderful book and we found this passage this morning and we would like to share it here. "Her last breath took her soul, I saw it in my dream. I saw her soul leave her body as she exhaled, and then she had no more needs, no more reason; she was released from her body, and, being released, she continued her journey elsewhere, high in the firmament where soul material gathers and plays out all the dreams and joys of which we temporal beings can barely conceive, all the things that are beyond our comprehension, but even so, are not beyond our attainment if we choose to attain them and believe that we truly can."

Sometime when Katie is in town I hope we can do a memorial row to honor Pat--wouldn't she love to see her kids and teammates rowing together again? I'll be happy to organize it anytime.

Pat you were an amazing woman and a wonderful mother. My best times shared with you was around the dinner table sharing stories with the family. You will be missed dearly. Love Carmell

Sorry to hear the news. I first meet Pat as a masters rower. She was energetic, and a really great person to be around. It was through her that I go to know the rest of the family. I know she was really proud of her kids.

Ann, You and your Mom had a special bond. I will always remember when she told me, "Ann is my sweet and sensitive girl." She knew you and loved you so well. You, your sisters and brother will hold on to the special times you shared with your Mom, which will help tremendously. You have so much happiness ahead of you, Ann, and you richly deserve it.
