Bob was a good friend and a great co-worker of mine at Boeing Flight Test. He was my car pool buddy for decades since we lived a few blocks away from each other in West Seattle. Whether it was driving to Everett or driving to Renton we had plenty of time to chat. He was extremely funny and made the drive go by quickly. I was on 6 airplane test crews with him and he taught me a lot. Today at work I thought, How would Bob handle this problem. My thoughts & prayers are with his family.

I worked with Bob Bax early in my career and late in his at Boeing Flight Test. We were both members of PP002, the second of two 737-300 certification aircraft. Bob was an excellent engineer, but more than that he was a great person, always up-beat and fun to work with. Bob was my friend and will forever be regarded and one of the finest people that I've ever known. Love to Ellen in this difficult time from Lori and I - Dave Johnson
