Sharon KAYE December 1, 1946 ~ March 4, 2011 Sharon screamed and kicked her way into our lives on December 1st 1946 and departed peacefully in the loving arms of her cousin Judy Beck, who was accompanied by her nephew Jeffrey Kaye on March 4th. She lived her life at full tilt from Bremerton to Bellingham to Bellevue. She blasted out of Sammamish High in 1965 and blew into Western Washington that fall. School was only a minor interruption to her passions for tennis and skiing; with field hockey and everything else a mere short stop on the way to her degree. Teaching was too tame, so the allure of the wide open skies drew her to Northwest Airlines as a flight attendant. Woe onto passenger and crew alike for they were merely a playfield for pranks, jokes, gags and merriment. Competitive tennis was her obsession at the Bellevue Athletic Club and Central Park Tennis Club. Standing a mere 5 feet, she was a giant on the court and in life. Her brother Larry passed away before her, leaving her nephew Jeffrey Kaye (Annagrace and daughters) as his loving legacy to her. Father and Mother, Bert and Gona, followed and they are all looking down on us and sharing the spirit she left behind: Love, Light, Laughter. A full tilt celebration of life will be held this upcoming weekend in Bellevue. The family gratefully requests donations to Sharon's favorite charities in lieu of flowers and cards: Beacon Foundation for Northwest Flight Attendants, http:// www.beaconfoundation.org/donate PAWS (local animal welfare organization) https://www.gifttool.com/donations/Donate? ID=1938&AID=763 Children's International (Sharon sponsors a little girl named Make Lucernas who lives in the Philippines) https://www.children.org/makeadonation.aspTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Sharon and I both worked for Northwest Airlines and had an Amsterdam layover not long before she passed and I went to their hotel room to chat.
She had an inkling her lifetime was short and was thinking about what to do with her possessions.
I thought family would be good.
She was one of a kind. I'm sure she is missed.

I knew Sharon while at Western. I am sorry to hear about her passing. I am sure she is at peace and looking down on all of us.
From my perspective she will be missed forever.

My heart goes out to the family. My brother just told me about Sharon. My regrets are deep, and I will never forget you cousin. I have a lot of good memories.

I used to work with Sharon's father, Bert, at the Electric League after he retired from Puget Power. The last time I saw you, Jeffrey, you were maybe 8 or 9, but I heard about your growing up years from both your grandparents who loved you very much. I didn't know Sharon well, but we met a few times. From those few times, and the stories Bert would tell about her, she had her father's energy and stubborness and joy. She just vibrated with energy and "what's next". I'm not surprised that she had such good friends, plus Jeffrey, who loved her to the end.

Though not unexpected I am deeply saddened by this news. And Judy and Jack and everyone else who was there at Sharon's side supporting her through those last weeks and days- god bless you!!
My heart is sad but the memories remain. God has another angel at his side to watch over us and guide us in the struggle to be better human beings. My regrets are deep, and I will never forget you cousin.

Sharon was my friend in the 5th grade at Parkview Elementary in Bellingham. I also worked for Northwest Airlines during the same years as Sharon. I would love to attend her memorial. Can someone email me the date time and address. Thanks. Tina Burgess
