Shirley Ann BLACKWELL Shirley Ann Carlson born January 14, 1923 in Tacoma WA. the fourth daughter of Swedish immigrants Carl August Carlson and Natalia Bostrom Carlson. Shirley attended Lincoln Grade school and graduated Lincoln High School and Beutel Business School. She played the violin and loved to bowl. Shirley worked for General Mills, Sears Roebuck and retired from Boyer Alaska Barge Lines. In retirement she was very active with the Ryther Children's group. Shirley married Captain Harold Blackwell March 7, 1942 and was married for 68 years. Shirley is survived by her two sons John and James (Sheri) both of Seattle. One very capable Mother and Wife who will be missed by many and remembered for her smile and those blue eye's.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
