Pastor Odegaard was one of my favorite pastors growing up. We lived in Eugene and attended Spencer Creek Lutheran. He was larger than life to me at the time (3rd-6th grade) and I remember spending time over at the parsonage with the boys. Good fun. We moved to Montana and lost touch over the many years. My mom is still alive and we were remembering back to those Spencer Creek years, so I looked him up and saw that he had passed in 2011. My dad passed in 2013. My condolences to Kevin and David and family. Your dad was a great guy. Peace and love, Sean Stack and Karen Stack (mom).

Dear Peggy, Twyla and Family,
It was such a joy to worship with you at Calvary when I played the organ/piano there. Pastor Steve's sermons were such a blessing always, given with such caring and concern for the parishioners. I enjoyed his singing, too, and especially when he would break out in a few lines from a hymn when it related to the sermon. He will be missed very much but we can rejoice in knowing that he is no longer in pain as he is with Jesus!

Thanks Pastor Steve for loving this congregation of believers in rural Tioga, North Dakota, at Norman Lutheran Church. You wore the love of your Savior with such great joy. It's such a joy and comfort for us to think of you being united with Jesus and of course with Linda. My sympathies to your sons Kevin and David whom you loved deeply. I remember most your hearty handshakes, where BOTH of your large hands would engulf the hands of your parishioners in the strongest handshake possible. No one ever doubted you loved God and you loved his people!

I only got to see and know Steve one time on a visit to Seattle. We took a small trip up to the mountains. Steve, Linda, the boys and Aunt Twyla made that trip so memorable. I often think about those times especially at this time. We really enjoyed being able to see Steve preach in his church. Aunt Twyla & Tom you and the rest of the family are in my thoughts and prayers. Steve may you rest in peace. Cousin Duane Kegeris

Thank you Steve, for being the best brother a guy could ever have. Your pain is over, we will see each other again. Praise God.
