When I came off Active Duty in 1953 and joined the 104th Division I soon met Major Quijance. He and I spent the next 15 + years working together. As the unit Commander I could always count on him for the everyday needs of the unit. Major Quijance was exceptionaly competent. I will always remember him fondly as a friend and cohart. He invited my wife, boys and myself to Rudy's wedding. My boys (now 40-50) still talk about the wonderful event.
God Bless the family. Our prayers are with you.
Sincerely: Colonel Dan White (AUS-Ret)

Dear Family and Friends of Major Quijance:
Please accept my condolences. Major Quijance was a valued and beloved member of our community. I am so pleased that I had the privilege to meet him and personally thank him for his service to the community. He was recognized by the City Council for his contributions to the community and we declared Sunday January 16, 2011 "Major Urbano Quijance Day".

Words are inadequate to describe the Loss I feel with the passing of Urbano. He was the "Rock" of the USAR, Ft. Lawton and the FCS. I was most blessed to have served together in the Army.
