I have been aquainted with Jenni through a common friend, Evan, for nearly 4 years now.

Jenni,
I saw you tonight in the Junction, and I told you I wished I had something smart to say.. your news impressed me in great part because of your own serene composure... and I could say nothing in empathy for your loss.
You offered me a bridge to the empathy I lacked... you told me that I should take neither life, nor family for granted.

I have something to say now.

Simply this:

That even as you reel from the pain of your father's passing, you had the nobility to grant me the gift of empathy; you reminded me that life is precious, and in it we are fragile.

You are truly a testament to humanity, to share so much grace even as you are dealt a great blow.

Thank you for your kindness.
As a father, I know I would find peace in the knowledge that my daughter exemplies the finest qualities of life.
I pray you will find comfort in the knowledge that we are, as you reminded me, all connected.. and not too different after all.

All the blessings I have, I bestow to you and your family.
