Benjamin Mayers Obituary

Benjamin Henry Mayers

Benjamin Mayers was a devoted father, loving husband, and incredible grandfather. He was a friend to many and will be missed by more people than he could ever know. He married the love of his life, Lois Mayers, in 1954 and they shared 58 wonderful years together. He graduated from Franklin High School and went on to earn a degree from the University of Washington.

As a young boy, Benjamin was extremely driven and his hard work and vision allowed him to start Ace Novelty Company, Inc. During his long career in toys, Benjamin won recognition, multiple community awards, and became the inventor of the famous Treasure Troll toys.

Benjamin was known to his close friends and family as kind, generous, and honest. He was known for his quick wit, his incredible sense of humor, and most of all his loving nature.

Benjamin will be immensely missed. He is the father to the late Marc Mayers, and is survived by his wife, Lois Mayers, his daughters, Beth Cohanim and Karen Mayers-Gamoran, his son, Ronald Mayers, his son-in law, Bobby Cohanim, and his daughter-in law, Ann Dee Mayers. He is also survived by his 11 loving grandchildren, Shauna, Joel, Alex, Erin, Jared, Mitch, Erica, Meghan, Jason, Sophie, and Emma.

There will be a funeral at Arthur Wright Funeral Home on Sunday, December 2nd, 2012, at 1:00pm.

Mr. Mayer was a good boss. I learned a lot from working for him and ACE. He always had a smile and knew how to turn a bad situation into a win. He will be remembered in my prayers.
