Pat Donohoe Obituary

Pat Donohoe

Patricia Ann Donohoe entered the world on January 26, 1947 to Mary and Paul Donohoe in Coronado, CA. She transcended this life at her Seattle home on September 20, 2015. She is survived by brothers Paul (Anita) and Mark, sister-in-law Naomi and their children, Michael and Carolyn, and beloved aunts and cousins.

Pat had a thirst for learning, business application and mentoring. She earned degrees in zoology and education, a Masters in finance, obtained her CPA, and a Ph.D. from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Her fulfilling career included companies as the US Forest Service, Weyerhaeuser, Burlington Resources and PACAAR. She leaves behind many colleagues whom she helped mentor in their careers.

Pat was a vibrant multi-faceted spirit. She thrived in the outdoors and was an avid hiker and skier. She was as elegantly comfortable in an art gallery and designer couture clothing. She was passionate about travel--traveling both around the globe learning of other cultures and in the US to visit friends. Pat nurtured her friendships and was deeply loved in return. All were dazzled by her intelligence and humbled by her kindness.

A Celebration of Pat's Life will be held on Saturday, October 10 at the Washington Park Arboretum Graham Center commencing at 11:30 am. To honor Pat's life, please continue her kindness by making a donation to others of your best, whether it be time, money, blood, big loving hugs, kind words, a warm smile, a guiding hand or second chances.

I worked with Pat at PACCAR and am saddened to learn of her passing. She was a terrific lady, very intelligent, and I enjoyed working with her. We shared many laughs together. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

I enjoyed working with Pat for many years at PACCAR. She always had a kind "hello" whenever you would see her and truly enjoyable to work with. A very smart lady with a quick wit and non-ending smile. She will be missed by many.

Pat was a loving inspiration to me. I have so much admiration for her. She leaves a void in my life I can never fill. Her kindness, sharp wit and generosity was an inspiration, and I always wanted to be a better person because of her. This photo, for her notice, was taken by me at the Nordstrom Fall Fashion Preview show last July, 2015. I was so proud and honored to be her guest every year.
I miss her every day, and the ability to call her and share stories, have that sisterly "pep talk" or plan the next hairstyling session.
She is forever in my fondest memories
