Kenneth Zimmerschied Obituary

Kenneth E. Zimmerschied, age 64, of Sedalia, died on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at his home.

He was born on August 27, 1946 in Sedalia, son of Harry and Alma Goss Zimmerschied. He was married on August 21, 1965 in Sedalia to Shelly Draker and she survives of the home.

Kenneth attended Sacred Heart and St. Patrick's Catholic Schools. He was a truck driver and equipment operator most all of his life and worked for Fischer Concrete. He enjoyed his cattle, watching NASCAR, and working in his shop. He loved spending time with his family.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Paul Zimmerschied of Sedalia; two daughters, Stacey Marcum and her husband Roger of Sedalia, Carla Burlingame and her husband Kenneth of Sedalia; three brothers, Charles Zimmerschied of Sweet Springs, Ralph Zimmerschied, Paul J. Zimmerschied both of Sedalia; three sisters, Connie Ann Sousley, Mary Dixon, Ella Oliver, all of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Shelbi Zimmerschied,Derek Thomas, Macey Zimmerschied, Trenton Burlingame, Hailey Burlingame.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 10, 2011 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Biesmeyer officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Dixon, Brad Dixon, Mark Zimmerschied, Kevin Zimmerschied, Kyle Zimmerschied, Kelly Shepard. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Gottschalk and Dean Vaughn. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens. Friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Sunday. The family will receive friends from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Kenneth E. Zimmerschied Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home. You may sign the guest book online at EwingSchutteSemlerfh.com
