My Dad, Joseph Lopiccolo was cousin to Tony with his brothers Carlo, John and Vince Lopiccolo. All from Taylor Street, North Beach.
I knew the family as a child. Fond memories of the Wharf and the family. Dad´s parents were Francesco Lopiccolo and Francesca Giammanco Lopiccolo
May Tony rest easy in Gods care. Condolences and

It's been 6 years now since Tony departed this world, and 41 years since I met him at the Wharf, but that meeting will always be a highlight of the several months I spent in the USA back in 79. He was a really nice and happy guy, and I wish his family all the best in coping with his loss. His smile was one in a million.
A great American

I am a 62 year old Australian who passed through San Francisco in 1979. Tony had been on Quantas commercials, so I tried to find him at his workplace. I found him OK, and he was a hell of a nice guy. I was just looking through my old photographs when I saw his picture, so I Googled him and I found his name and the fact that he just passed away on 30 July, 27 days after my wife did the same. RIP Tony. You left a great impression on this wandering Aussie, and you were a fantastic advertisement for your country.

I worked at Fisherman's Wharf for 45 yrs. so of course I knew Tony, as well as Domonic and Frank...all 3 were great down to earth guys. I think Tony was the most photographed man in SF, with his rakish mustache and red, white & blue crocheted hat. Like many, many others, I will always remember him fondly.

I met Tony at Bank of America, Columbus Branch, when I was working the merchant's window back in the early 70's. He would bring crab cocktails and sour dough bread for us to enjoy while we were taking care of his banking. He was a very kind and special man. I will remember him always. My sincerest sympathies to his family. May your happy memories of him bring you comfort during this difficult time.

Dear Cresci Family my thoughts and prayers are with you. I was introduced to Tony, Dom, and Frank by my grandfather Tom Cattolica when I was 13. I worked for them for 4 years at #2. Many fond memories as it was my 1st job working through high school. Between Tony and my grandfather shaping a young teen to learn work ethics and what it means to work hard for what you want. It was my pleasure to have had the opportunity to have known Tony. God Bless.

I first met Tony through my Grandmother who would transport me as a young boy to the "wharf". She would pull up to buy crab and wave at Tony who would come up to her car and they would cheerfully greet each other like old friends. He then supplied her wth a whole cracked crab with sliced lemon which we would consume sitting on a dock together and talking. My first taste of cracked crab! I was about five years old. That was to be the first of many crab consumed by my nonna and I sitting on a dock on the wharf. A special time between nonna and I that Tony was always a part. Fond memories of Tony and my childhood talks with my Nonna Marguerite. God bless Tony!
