My condolences to the family.
Stephen was a special guy, and will always hold a place in my heart as family friend and first boyfriend at San Francisco State College Camp in 1957 - when he was 14 and I was 11.
I am so sorry I didn't know he was ill. His death is profoundly sad.

Dear Victoria and family, I am holding you in this time of loss and grief with Stephen's passing. It was my honor and pleasure to serve on the founding MCF board over the period of Stephen's tenure. I think of my relationship with Stephen and his tenure at MCF and these words come to mind: gracious, generous, friend, brilliant, compassionate, curious, confident, engaged, and always warm-hearted.
I am grateful for his life, his work, his commitments, and our friendship. My prayer for your family is that each of you will have abundant memories that bring healing and enfold you with peace. Shalom be yours

I remember Stephen Dobbs fondly as the parent of one of my first graders, his son Joshua. He was always so supportive of Joshua's learning and of my teaching.
May his memory be for a blessing.
