My head is still full of memories from early childhood days when my Mom and Bernice would go out dancing in downtown San Francisco. I remember well her first husband John who was a kind man and loving father to their two children. It was als ways a regret that he passed too soon. I remember Bernice's Mother, a tiny little person all dressed in black with a great big smile always. They are all gone but never forgotten... Same...memories of Bernice's sister and her husband, Gussie and Gaston. Gaston used to drive a street car and when I was lucky, I'd catch him and he too had a big smile. I'm coming to realize that those smiles that people give us as children can live on in our memories, like beautiful butterflies. I'm grateful to those that were kind...

Bernice was best friends with my mother, Olga. Those two stayed friends all their lives, from their first day of school until my mom's passing in 1998. I will always remember Bernice so fondly for her wonderful sense of humor and good nature. I send my condolences to her family.

Dear Barbara, Bill and families,
We were very sorry to learn that Bea recently passed away. She was such an inspirational woman, truly one of a kind. We will cherish the memories that we have of her, especially of time spent with her and my Aunt Annie together. She also was one of the best joke deliverers that we have ever known; you couldn't help but ask her to tell you another one, and then another one -- and she always had more. Bill and I will miss her.
Our condolences to you all,
Jean Allan & Bill Frey
