Elizabeth Dunnigan Obituary

Elizabeth Betty Dunnigan 1926 2010 Passed away peacefully on September 21, 2010 in the home of her loving daughter. Betty was the cherished only child of the late Pauline and Tony Martin. Loving, devoted wife for 54 years to her Commerce High School sweetheart, the late Joseph C. Dunnigan, she was also sadly preceded in death by her son Peter (Jean) Dunnigan. Survived by her daughter Deborah (Philip) Parker as well as three grandchildren, Terrence (Allison) Dunnigan, Alana Dunnigan and John Parker. With a loving family and many life-long friends Betty graced and enriched the lives of everyone she knew. Her special brand of elegance combined with warmth and love was an inspiration to her family and friends. Never wavering in her devotion to family, she will be in our hearts forever. The family wishes to thank Hospice by the Bay in San Francisco for their care, compassion and help during Betty's illness. Funeral Liturgy was held in a private family service on September 24 at the Chapel of the Ascension, Holy Cross Cemetery, with committal following in the Gallery of the Ascension Mausoleum. Dear Debbie,

I am truly sorry to read of the passing of your mother. I remember her and the hospitality she and your father extended to me on a number of occasions, and upon reflection, these memories are a source of warmth and pleasure once experienced and easily recalled.

May the sorrow of your loss be eased by your own fond remembrances of those happier times spent when love and laughter were a natural part of the of the fabric of those moments.

My heart goes out to you and to your family. I will remember all of you in
my meditations.

Thinking of you...

Dear Debbie,
Your mom and dad will always be with me in spirit. I will miss all the laughs we've had over these many, many years. Your dad started me out in show biz and completely changed my life. Both Joe and Betty were instrumental putting me on the right path...I will never forget them for everything they did for me. I loved your brother Peter as well. They were the kindest people I ever met in my life.
By the way, I still carry the St. Jude card your dad gave me 40 years ago and the lighter Peter gave me when your dad passed away.
Debbie, God Bless your mom and you and your family.
love,
John Roselius
