Frank loved jazz music, world travel, fine wine, good food and great friends. After earning his Ph.d from UC Berkeley he spent many years designing and developing surgical systems. He had recently retired and begun a new career writing about the science of enjoying wine.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Dear Tendick Family, I lived around the corner from you when we lived in Ladera Heights. I became friends with Frank when we were in the same 2nd and 3rd grade classes at Frank D. Parent Elementary School. I was invited to play at your home
several times. Frank was such a nice boy. His sister, Lorraine, was so nice to me too. I always regarded Frank as my first crush. I thought of him today and decided to Google his name. I was saddened to see that he had passed away still so young. I wanted to send my belated but deepest condolences. (In the photo Frank, as you know is on the top right. I am on the bottom left.)

Dear Prof. Tendick - you have such a gentle soul with a passion for academic excellency. I am proud of being your student. You have guided me not only in science but also in life as the capability of learning is universal and ever-lasting.
May you rest in peace and free of pain.

I haven't seen Frank in quite a while but I will always remember him for his kindness. I have fond memories of the wine tasting events he organized to Napa and Sonoma. My condolences his family,
