Charles Piazza

Charles F. Piazza July 3, 1929-October 30, 2010 Died peacefully on October 30, 2010 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Marie Piazza of 57 years. Loving father of Sharon (Richard) Ganas and Charles (Linda) Piazza. Cherished grandfather of Jeanine (Dylan) Howland, Jennifer Burroughs, Marianna Piazza, Alyssa Piazza and Cara-Mia Piazza. Charles is survived by his brothers and sisters: Joseph (Ann) Piazza, Lena Betti, Tony Piazza, Tommy (Janice) Piazza, brother in-law Enzo (Lucille) Antonelli. Preceded in death by his loving daughter Carolyn Piazza, sister Josephine Monterroso and brother Sam Piazza. He will be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Charles was a long-time resident of San Francisco where he became a Supervisor for the Port of San Francisco as a Sheet Metal worker for more than 56 years and a Union Member for Local 104. Charles was the head usher for the SF 49ers, loyal SF Giants Fan, and an avid golfer. Most important, Charles loved his family. Friends may visit on Wednesday after 6:00 PM and are invited to attend the Vigil Services at 7:00 PM also on Wednesday and the Funeral Liturgy on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission Street, SF. Committal Services will follow at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
