Grace Barbera Obituary

Grace Barbera 1919-2010 Passed away peacefully on September 27, 2010, at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her loving daughter Annamarie McCarthy and her son-in-law, John; her beloved grandchildren Brendan & Bernadette; her cherished niece Mary Poole; and cherished nephews Tony Pisciotta & Frank Pisciotta; as well as by numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, & friends. Grace was born in Campobello di Mazara, Sicily. She was a seamstress for the Lilli Ann Corporation for 25 years. An active member of the Italian Catholic Federation at St. Cecilias church. In the year 2000, she received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice from Pope John Paul II for her loving dedication to St. Finn Barrs church. Family and friends may visit after 8:30AM Friday and are invited to attend the funeral service also on Friday at 10:15AM from the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St., SF, thence to St. Cecilias where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Committal to follow at the Italian Cemetery in Colma. The family request that donations be made in Graces name to Nazareth House (245 Nova Albion Way, San Rafael, CA 94903).
