Alan Bottarini Obituary

Alan John Bottarini Jan. 16, 1940 - Dec. 2, 2010 Passed away on December 2nd at the age of 70. He was survived by his beloved wife Carole and was the loving father to Bret Bottarini and Brenda Calderon. He was the devoted grandfather to Allison, Sienna, Dominic, Sophia and Gianna. He also leaves many other friends and family members; including Nephew, Ross Bottarini and Niece Gina Andrighetto and will be dearly missed by all. Alan attended Riordan High School, graduated from Lincoln High School-class of 58 and attended S. F. City College. Alan was a native San Franciscan and he was owner of the Sixteen Mile House for over 15 years. His main profession in life was that as a bartender, and he made many friends through his contacts with patrons at Doros and Westlake Joes. Visitation for family and friends will begin on Friday, December 10th at 6 p.m. at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. A Vigil Service/Rosary will begin that evening at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 11th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Dunstan Church, 1133 Broadway, Millbrae. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame CA 94010 or the American Diabetes Association, 4040 Moorpark Avenue, Suite 105, San Jose, CA 95117 in memory of Alan John Bottarini.

We were saddened to hear of Al's passing. We were in Maui and got home on Sunday to hear the message from Doug. We have many fond memories of Al; the Sixteen, Niner games, etc. Love, Bill and Myrna Warto

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Alan. The Bottarini family was part of my growing up years, I have many fond memories of Alan and all the family. It is such a loss , but the wonderful memories live on. My prayers are with you. Carolyn and Dave Schiller (Orinda, CA)
