David was a good friend of mine. I considered him as an older brother that I never had. He was always there for me. Even when I was in trouble or did something wrong, he never held it against me. Never passed judgment towards me. He was always happy to see me. He was always calm and very reliable. He always came through for me. Whenever he said that he would do something for you, he did it. No questioned asked. I loved that about him. Whenever I saw him, he was always cheerful and lit up a room. I will always miss his huge hugs and constant smile and joking. He was a good soul. He will be deeply missed. I consider him one of my closest friends. I am very proud of knowing David Tambara. My prayers and thoughts go out especially to his sons, Marc and Chris; the Tambara Family; and to Donna Kwon and the Kwon family.

I remember..
...the days of Boys Scouts when Troop 29 scouts would raid Dave's troop at Murphy's Gulch in Camp Royannah.
..participating on the Washington High wrestling team with Dave.
...hanging out with Dave at Kau Kau's bar
...and attending City College together with him.

Dave was always a great friend. We were born 7 days apart.

I will miss him but will remember the good times we had together.

Our deepest sympathy to the Tambara Family.

Sincerely,
Shima and Karen Sakata and Family.

To the Tambara family: We here in Lobby Security feel fortunate to have greeted him every morning. He was a generous, composed and delightful soul. I had seen him around for years but until recently never had the occasion to meet him and that is entirely my loss. Our condolences first to all of his family and then his friends for we all feel this loss of a profoundly thoughtful man.

It's hard to believe that another close friend is gone. My old partner John Francisco who passed away on Feb. 6, 2010 and I were good friends with Dave. Now I have lost 2 close friends. One day all of us will be together again. My regards to Dave's Family.
