Not sure what to say?

Had the pleasure of working with Dave in S.I.D. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone. You left us way too soon Dave. R.I.P. Mike Dower. SFPD l.

Tambara-San...Bikurishita...I am so verry sorry that i never got to talk more about Japan with you...I will always remember your knowledge and most of all your kindness, willingness to share whatever you had with those in need...I am so sorry for your family and Miss Donna...You have raised great young men and I hope they will always remember their father, An Officer and a Gentleman...

David was a good friend of mine. I considered him as an older brother that I never had. He was always there for me. Even when I was in trouble or did something wrong, he never held it against me. Never passed judgment towards me. He was always happy to see me. He was always calm and very reliable. He always came through for me. Whenever he said that he would do something for you, he did it. No questioned asked. I loved that about him. Whenever I saw him, he was always cheerful and...

I remember..
...the days of Boys Scouts when Troop 29 scouts would raid Dave's troop at Murphy's Gulch in Camp Royannah.
..participating on the Washington High wrestling team with Dave.
...hanging out with Dave at Kau Kau's bar
...and attending City College together with him.

Dave was always a great friend. We were born 7 days apart.

I will miss him but will remember the good times we had together.

Our deepest sympathy to the Tambara...

I have known Dave Tambara for 30 years. He was so dedicated to the community. When I think of original Asian community cops, Dave comes to mind. My deepest sympathy to the Tambara/Kwon family. May you find peace in your happy memories and the strong legacy Dave left behind.

We'll Miss YOU BRO

To the Tambara family: We here in Lobby Security feel fortunate to have greeted him every morning. He was a generous, composed and delightful soul. I had seen him around for years but until recently never had the occasion to meet him and that is entirely my loss. Our condolences first to all of his family and then his friends for we all feel this loss of a profoundly thoughtful man.
