Erodita A. Pasion Oct. 6, 1924 - Sept. 21, 2010 Passed away in her sleep and is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ted Vea Pasion, who preceded her in death by only eight months. For the past thirty-five years she was a loving wife, step-mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to the Pasion family. Throughout her life she was a devoted sister and aunt to the Pacapac and Ambuyat families. Survived by her step-daughters Rita (Rod) Arriaga and Frances (Jerry) Perry, her grandchildren Teresa (Patrick Greene) Arriaga and John (Chanda Plong) Perry, and her great-grandchildren Aiyana and Coleman Greene. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Ambuyat, nieces Precy (Von) Maduli and Stella Tovo, grand-nephews William, Matthew and Mykel Maduli, and many other nieces and nephews in the Philippines and abroad. Born to Victorio and Francisca Ambuyat in Bangued, Abra, Philippines, Erodita completed her nursing education in the Philippines and served as a head nurse in a regional hospital before immigrating to the US for post-graduate training in the 1950's. She gradually moved from the east to west coast, finally settling in Stockton, CA, where she worked for many years at San Joaquin County Hospital. She had a very successful nursing career, retiring in 1995 from her position as head nurse on the Rehab Unit. In 1974 friends introduced her to widower, Ted Pasion, and from February 8, 1975, their marriage date, until his death this past January they were inseparable and devoted to each other. With Ted, Erodita traveled throughout the US and the world, enjoyed dancing several times a week (particularly square and round dancing), and was active in local Filipino organizations. She was also a very religious, prayerful woman who was active with the Legion of Mary in her Stockton parish. In 2006, she and Ted moved to the Bay Area to be closer to their daughter for care and support. The family wishes to acknowledge the expert, thoughtful medical care provided to Erodita by patient care staff at Kaiser South San Francisco, particularly Dr. Tom Vo. We also wish to thank the staff at Alma Via of San Francisco for their generous, attentive care for her during her time with them. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 1300 Junipero Serra Blvd., San Francisco. Committal services will be held immediately following the services at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo County.
