Patricia Burbage Obituary

Patricia Ann "Patty" Burbage Oct. 19, 1928 - May 24, 2011 Patty Burbage passed away Tuesday, May 24th following a long illness. She leaves behind her dearest friend, Arlene Kane; her cousin, Dona Grace Levin; nieces, Linda J. Dittemore, Patricia A. Pearce, Kelley Lee Salas and Kathleen Ellion; nephews, Gregory Burbage and George "Jeff" Burbage; in-laws, Robert A Pearce and JoAnn Burbage; and a host of grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Her friends who served with Patty in the Women's Branch of the USMC will remember her with a Sepmer Fi Salute and a wish to rest well. A mid-summer memorial service will be announced and held in Eureka, CA. Inurnment was private. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Benicia-Vallejo Humane Society, 1121 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo, CA 94590 Please visit the online tribute at TwinChapelsMortuary.com. How can I begin to say how much you and Skip have meant to me. I would have been a different person had you two not been in my life. I will cherish the memories the rest of my life and I thank God that I still have Skip and I will do my best to stand in, for you, in the way that you wanted me to. I know that you are resting in peace now and are surrounded in love. Bye bye for now. Love Patty

To my wonderfully funny and sharp-witted friend and neighbor, I thank you for all the smiles you gave me for almost 20 years. You were always kind-hearted and generous to Denise and I, and always willing to share your time with us. I could always count on you to say "Hi babe," whenever I walked into your house. I loved that. I also loved the fact that you and I shared a passion for baseball, and though you bled Dodger-blue, you were always gentle with me for my love of the Giants. So my friend, thanks for being my friend. Til we meet again, I say, "So long, babe, peace be with you."
