Charlie was a great neighbor and a great friend. I love him and will miss him. I am in awe of how ready he was to rejoin Dorothy. The whole neighborhood misses you, Charlie!

Condolences to the marvelous Friel family. Charlie was a source of joy and light to all of us here on Potrero Hill. Warm, kind witty and, always, modest. We will miss you, Charlie!

Charlie was the best exemplar that we ever met of a father, husband, friend. Would that we all do life so well. God blessed him and Charlie blesses us all. Any family that is hurting can call on Charlie and Dorothy to have them ask the Lord for the help they need. The Lord will listen to them.

I know your fond and cherished memories will help you through this most difficult time. It has been a long time since the East Oak Lane/ Holy Angels days. I remember your Dad as a great man always willing to help those in need. God Bless you all.
