We are very saddened by your enormous loss. The world has lost a very remarkable woman with many accomplishments, a huge heart and an intelligence and level of civility not easily replaced. She was rare and several lifetimes of her would not have been enough.

I am sad to hear of Betty's passing. She was one of the toughest, most energetic and positive people I have had the pleasure of working with (I should say 'working for') I know the Bay Area and her family will miss her, but I am consoled that she can finally be with her son again. Say 'hello' to Tom L. for the rest of us, Betty!

I am saddened to hear of Betty's passing. She was one of the most vibrant, energetic, and toughest people I have ever been around. She was a force for good and someone I greatly admired. Although I am happy she will be with her son again, I know the Bay Area and her remaining family will miss her.

"I am sorry that we lost someone that did a lot of good for everyone. I have seen her at different times over the years and enjoyed her our meetings. Her son, Frank was one of my best friends. I lost a good friend and she lost a son when Frank was killed. I appreicated what she did in honoring Frank. May Betty and Frank enjoy each other again"

I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Betty many years ago when I was just a child. I haven't seen Betty in many years but always remember her and her vigilance with the parole board hearings. She was a good friend to my Aunt, Mildred Carey with whom she worked many years ago at Paul's in So. San Francisco. I send my thoughts and prayers to her family. Love, Terry Garcia
