Jim Moreau Obituary

Jim Moreau Long-time San Francisco resident, Jim Moreau, passed away on September 25, 2010, from complications following lung surgery. His passing is mourned by his many friends, not only in San Francisco, but around the world. Jim was born in Chicago in 1945, and was raised in the Boston, Massachusetts, area, where he became a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. He moved to San Francisco in 1979. During the 31 years that he lived in San Francisco, Jim worked for, and was a mainstay of, the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie, where he was renowned for his dedication and his uncompromising standards. Jim's passion and his greatest source of joy were his many friends, with whom he loved to share his warmth, his kindness, his generous spirit and his other passions for great food, fine wine and beautiful orchids. The members of his vast network of friends, who were really Jim's extended family, considered him the expert on the Northern California restaurant scene. Jim's friends ask that those who wish to honor him at this time consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or Project Open Hand.
