Lorraine Amsler

Lorraine Rose Riviello Amsler Passed away peacefully in her home on 10/10/10. Lorraine was born December 28, 1930 in San Francisco where she was raised, educated, married and worked as an elementary school teacher. In 1953 she married San Francisco native Robert Amsler. They settled in Orange County where she worked as a homemaker and mother to their three children. In 1970 they returned to the bay area and lived in Novato until 1993, then moved to Petaluma. Lorraine enjoyed reading, art, music, theatre, cooking, gardening, exercise, travel, camping and spending time with her family. She always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Lorraine was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Constance Riviello, daughter Diane Amsler, husband Bob Amsler and brother Cosmo "Vic" Riviello. She is survived by son, Mark Amsler of Petaluma, daughter Lisa Parnow of Petaluma, son-in-law Peter and grandsons Charlie and Eric Parnow of Petaluma, and grandson Kevin Parnow of San Francisco. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Lorraine's life aboard The Empress, on Sun, 10/17 2:00, 310 Harbor Drive, Sausalito, returning by 5:00. Donations gratefully accepted to Hospice of Petaluma.
