Paul Garcia Obituary

Paul J. Garcia 10/21/17-10/14/10 Private services will be held for Paul Garcia who passed away peacefully in Santa Clara on October 14, 2010. "P.J.", as he was affectionately known to all, would have celebrated his 93rd birthday. Born in San Francisco, he has resided in Santa Clara for the past 55 years, and retired with Lockheed as a machinist, with his career in aerospace manufacturing spanning over 20 years. P.J. was a lover of sports, and very much looked forward to his beloved San Francisco Giants playing in the post season. P.J. will fondly be remembered by all his friends and neighbors of Starr Court. He is survived by his daughter, Aileen Garcia-MacNeary of Watsonville, and his sister, Francis Stayton of Pacifica. Information regarding the details for an upcoming celebration of his life can be found by calling Aileen at 831-239-4573.

My family and I lived directly across from the Garcia's in 60's and 70's. They were great people, and were like my second family. I spent half my time over there. My father and Paul's daughter Aileen were born on the same day, June 7th, and I would have cake at my house and then have cake at their house. Mrs. Garcia was a great cook, and I would often eat salami sandwiches and skirt steaks.
Mr. Garcia was a great story teller, and would have you rolling on the floor all the time. It wasn't just the way he told a story but the look on his face when he told a tale.
We always think of Mr. Garcia's Chevy El Camino sitting in the driveway or along the side of the street, he sure was proud of that truck and the envy of others.
Loved the whole family, and am grateful for the time I had with them. May God bless them.

Great neighbor, great guy. Allan Guthrie 679 Starr Ct. Can't remember all the years but it had to be 1979-1984.
