After serving two tours of duty in the US Army during WWII he returned home and built the Empey A. Robertson Insurance Company into one of San Francisco's most prominent insurance companies. Philip married Mary Keast and they had two children. Elizabeth Keast Robertson Baker and Katherine Bruce Robertson will forever miss and love him. He leaves two grandchildren, Cameron Keast Baker and Spencer McRae Baker and his son-in-law James Patrick Baker who will forever miss his infectious sense of fun and adventure. Philip later married Polly Hanna. Phil is loved and will be missed by her children, Judy Hanna, Judd Hanna, Jennifer Hanna Horsman and Jill Hanna and their families. Philip married Susan Metcalf 14 years ago and together they enjoyed life on Shaw Island. He will be missed by Brock and Lisa Metcalf and their children, Katie and Hunter. Early on he was a member of the Guardsmen. He was a highly regarded and long-time member of both the Bohemian Club and the Pacific Union Club.
