He moved home to Redwood City and began working for United Airlines as a mechanic from December 1966 until October 2000 when he retired after 34 years of service. Rich always enjoyed his travel benefits of which he utilized right up until he became ill with kidney cancer three months prior to his passing. His favorite pastime was playing golf in Thailand where he lived part time when he wasn't in Redwood City. He leaves behind many family and friends of whom will miss his sense of humor, his love of life and his competitive nature. Rich never complained and was always positive about life, leading the best life anyone could have with no regrets. He was loved and will be missed by us all.
