Robert Henry Obituary

Robert Russell Henry June 4, 1910 - October 14, 2010 Robert Russell Henry, surrounded by his family and dearest friends, left us after 100 years, 4 months, and 10 days. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of over 50 years, Rosalie Virginia. He is survived by his son, Darryl Robert Henry (his caregiver for the last 6 years) his granddaughters, Kristin Marie and Heather Rose Henry, his daughters-in-law Maryann Lovi and Lyn Henry, and his long time friend and confidant, Bob Lovi. He is preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie, whom he lovingly admired. Bob was born in Colorado on June 4, 2010 to Russell Henry and Grace Bell Rose, whose great grandfather was Daniel Boone, the famous settler. He moved to California from the dustbowls of Arkansas. . He was a proud member of the Navy in Alameda, CA and had a high position during World War II. . He had his own business in San Francisco. He retired but soon started selling real estate in Montclair District in Oakland, CA and worked right up until his late 80s. He always had a zest for life. He told us in 2000 that he was going to live to 100 and we never doubted him. He is an inspiration for living life to the fullest and to your last breath. We want to say thank you to Ricardo, his homecare aide in the last 6 months, who truly was a saint. He took beautiful care of our father/grandfather/friend with such compassion and loyalty and Bob truly loved him. There will be a private gathering to celebrate his life.

Bob's 100th Birthday celebration

Anna Beuselinck

November 6, 2010

Bob was more than a neighbor for 10 years to us...he was "Grandpa Bob" to Faith & Gabriella, Anna's "boyfriend" and Gary's dearest companion and friend. We were honored to learn, share and live many experiences with Bob. We will miss him and yet, he will live in our hearts and minds for our lives.
